The Barony golf course is one of three 18-hole layouts at the Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club. This George Cobb-designed course has tested golfers of all abilities since the 1960s. At first glance, the 6543-yard, par-72 Barony course appears to be fairly open. But upon further inspection, it becomes clear that accuracy is more important than length on the Barony golf course; medium and short irons are the order of the day. Guests at the Barony may enjoy a variety of amenities, among them a clubhouse, Bayley's 19th Hole Grill, banquet and meeting facilities, a pro shop and the Hilton Head Island School of Golf. Barony golf course visitors wishing to fine-tune their tennis game will appreciate the opportunity to play on all three Grand Slam surfaces — Har-tru, grass and hard — at the Port Royal Racquet Club.
