At more than 9,000 feet above sea level, The River Course at Keystone Golf Resort offers a high-altitude golfing experience amid the splendor of the Colorado Rockies and the White River National Forest. The newer of two championship courses at Keystone Golf Resort, The River Course began collecting accolades after opening in the summer of 2000. Colorado Golf Magazine ranked the course second among the top 10 resort golf courses in Colorado, while Golf for Women recognized The River Course at Keystone as number nine among the “ 50 Best Courses for Women (2002-2004).” The River Course has also been designated a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The River Course at Keystone is located at the Keystone Golf Resort, a mountain resort approximately 90 miles west of Denver International Airport. Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, the River Course at Keystone Golf Resort offers such features as sagebrush, a dozen types of wildflowers, native grasses, wetlands and even wildlife. The par-71, 6,886-yard layout is marked by elevation changes of 200 feet.
